Cost Share Program (WE WILL HELP PAY FOR SOME OF YOUR HERBICIDE)
In an effort to help landowners in the battle against noxious weeds, the Lemhi CWMA has a project to assist with herbicide and biological puchases and mechanical weed control. When you purchase herbicides, dye or surfactants, fill out a cost share application and return it by October 1st of that year and you will be eligible for a 50% reimbursment of up to $150.00 dollars. This is for residual herbicide. Herbicide applications are required to be used on Idaho State noxious weed speceis. Both the bilogical and mechanical weed control require pre approval from the Lemhi County Weed Superintendent to establish funds. The Cost Share Application can be downloaded from the tab titled Cost Share Application.

Equipment Loaner Program
Need to Borrow a Herbicide Sprayer?
Controlling or preventing noxious weeds can become expensive especially when un-managed for an extended period of time. In addition to the Cost Share Program we have equipment that you can borrow at a minimal cost to assist you in your efforts. At our office located in the Brooklyn annex at 200 Fulton Street, you can check out the backpack sprayers, ATV sprayers (ATV not included) or horse pack sprayers for $5.00 per night.
ATV sprayer (ATV not included)
We also realize that controlling noxious weeds is more effective if you are able to prevent them in the first place. To assist in this effort we have three types of seeders, the first two are a hand seeder and an ATV seeder (ATV not included) for $5.00 per night as well. The third seeder is a no-till drill that can be pulled with a 500cc ATV. This piece of equipment was purchased in 2012 with the idea that corner pivots or small acre parcels could plant desirable vegetation with a higher success rate than the typical broadcast methods. This seeder costs $50.00 a night rental with a minimum charge of $50.00 the ATV is not included however the drill does come on a trailer that can haul an ATV as well.

Community Spray Days
Spray days have also been a part of the Lemhi CWMA. This is a program where you can get your herbicide for free in order to spray your property. If you are unable to spray your propery due to physical restraints, a licensed trained applicator can assist you. We ask that if there is a spray day in your area that you participate and take advantage of this program. Look at the schedule of events to find out when are where the spray days will be held in Lemhi County.
